MOT ADVISORIES
MOT advisories have a common misconception:
"My car has passed, it'll be okay for another year".

Advisories can be okay until the next MOT test, or your car could be in major trouble the very next day.

Common examples include:
Brake pad(s) wearing thin
The legal limit for brake pad thickness is 1.5mm - they could be only 1.6mm at the time of the test

Tyre worn close to the legal limit
1.6mm is the legal limit, many testers advise tyres from 3mm and below

Coil spring corroded
These will fail if they're broken - how long will a corroded spring last?
